THE STORY OF LADY OF AGREDA

Lady of Agreda, A Mystical Journey is a new musical with a book by Marley Singletary and music and lyrics by Cynthia Jordan that tells the mesmerizing true story of the 17th century mystic, Maria of Jesus of Agreda, Spain, known in Europe and the New World as the mystical Lady in Blue. Maria’s controversial spiritual writings, longtime correspondence with King Philip IV, and her claims of bilocation are called into question by the Spanish Inquisition who tries her for heresy twice over the course of her life. As one of the most spiritually and politically controversial and influential women of the 17th century, Maria is a woman well ahead of her time who embodies strength, integrity, and courage and realizes the power of her words.

Yes, we encourage and invite your entire family to experience Lady of Agreda. While the story does have darker moments, the content is not inappropriate for children 8+.

HOW LONG IS THE PERFORMANCE?

The World Premiere of Lady of Agreda will run approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. One 15 minute intermission will be taken between Act 1 and Act 2.



IS THERE AN INTERMISSION?

Yes, there will be a brief 15 minute intermission between the first and second acts.



IS THERE PARKING ON SITE?

Complimentary, covered self-parking is available in the garage attached to Queensbury Theatre. Make sure you bring your parking ticket inside to validate before you exit the theatre.

Don’t worry! We’ll reprint your ticket at no charge! Simply visit the Queensbury Theatre box office with your Customer ID, receipt or driver’s license that matches the first and last name on the order.



WHEN IS THE BOX OFFICE OPEN?

The Queensbury Theatre box office opens one hour before the scheduled performance time. We look forward to seeing you.
