Lady of Agreda, A Mystical Journey is a new, sensational musical that will envelop you with goosebumps as you discover Sor Maria de Agreda’s controversial spiritual story. A historical fiction, the entire production is based on facts gathered from historical pieces and writings composed by Sor Maria herself.
Maria of Jesus of Agreda, Spain, known in Europe and the New World as the mystical Lady in Blue. Tried twice by the Spanish Inquisition for heresy, Sor Maria claimed to bilocate from her convent in Agreda, Spain to The New World in order to introduce Christianity to Natives of the New World.
Hearing of thousands of Natives of The New World who were traveling hundreds of miles by foot to get baptized having never been contacted by missionaries in the New World, King Philip IV made Sor Maria his spiritual advisor, exchanging over 650 letters over 22 years.
As one of the most spiritually and politically controversial and influential women of the 17th century, Maria is a woman well ahead of her time. Lady of Agreda, A Mystical Journey is a story that reminds us that all things are possible with God. Sor Maria is a woman of strength, integrity, and courage. She is the mystical Lady in Blue.
